TREASURES OF GOD'S WORD

The bible is more than just a religious book. It is  inspired by God and is profitable for doctrine for reproof,correction and instruction in righteousness  that a man of God may be fully equipped for every good work. It  is  reveals the mysteries of God and his nature. The old testament  is  interlinked with the new testament  by  a number of scriptures  that  are similar. It is  amazing  how  words spoken by Jesus on the cross “My God, my God ,why have you forsaken me” are found in Psalms  22:1.

In Zechariah 11:12 it says  they weighed me for a price of thirty pieces of silver and the lord told me to cast it to the potter  in the house of the lord.The fact that  ancient prophet’s  words  were fulfilled in the new  testament   no doubt  verifies the truthfulness of the bible. Get to discover the treasures of God’s word as you read it daily.

PRAYER

Jesus told his disciples, “When  you pray say….” Which means prayer  is a communication to God.

These are  things that  make prayer  effective:

            Earnest prayer  of  a righteous man James 5:16

           Fasting-Some things  do not go except by prayer and fasting.

            Praying in  line with the word of God. He magnifies his word above his name. Psalms 138:2

           Faith-For without  faith it is impossible to please God. Hebrews 11:6

Prayer un locks closed doors  and increases our  relationship with God. So never give up on prayer.

ARMOUR OF GOD

The bible  tells us to be  strong in the lord.

1. To guard  our  waists  with  the belt  of  truth

2. Put on the  breast plate  of righteousness.

3. Shod our feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace.

4. Have  faith as  a shield  at all times  to  quench all the burning arrows  shot by  the evil one

5. The  helmet  of salvation

6. The sword  of the spirit  which is the     word of God
