A number of times we lose heart and sometimes give up on waiting upon God. When Jesus' apostles asked him when the kingdom of Israel would be restored, he told them, " It is not for you to know the times and seasons which the father has put in his hands".(Acts 1:7) In most cases God tells you what he will do for you but never tells you the time and challenges you will meet because he watches over his word to perform it. ( Jeremiah 1:12). Cornelius was a devout man who never stopped praying and giving alms to the people and the day God visited him, he told him his prayers had reached God as a rememberance. I just want to encourage you to continue doing good and never faint because to everything there's a season and a time to every purpose under heaven. ( Ecclessiastes 3:1).

YOU ARE A STAR
When we talk about being a star, many think of what the world considers to be a celebrity which basically involves being famous in a unique way which may be music, film, sports industry or being a tycoon. Every one of us is special to God. You don't need to meet worldly standards to improve your reputation. Psalms 116:15 says, Precious in the sight of the lord is the death of his saints. If the death of a righteous man is very important to God, what about those that are still alive? God tells us in Psalms 16:3 that all his delight is in the saints, the excellent in all the earth. All that matters to God is not what the world considers but how you walk with God and purity in your life. Remember when God promised Abraham to give him descendants as many as the stars in the sky. You are one of those stars. So just move with your head high because God loves you.

UNSHACKLED
How you've fallen down from heaven lucifer, son of the morning. (Isaiah 14:12). God has delivered you to the chains of darkness and reserved you for the great day of judgement. (2 Peter 2:4). Lord, I thank you for taking the shackles off my feet and hands that I'm totally free. Thank you for the open heaven upon my life. I know that though my beginning is small, my latter end will increase abundantly. Job 8:7

JUST A MINUTE
This phrase would be made to someone who seems too busy to attend to anyone requesting to have a brief moment with them. It 's strange most people are "too busy" for God. Do you know how much time it took for God to redeem man? Alot of time! It took a number of prophets to foretell the coming of the messiah and guess what? even after his birth, he had to wait for more 33 years to have this mission accomplished. What is more important to you than the almighty who created you? " Heaven and earth will pass away, but my word will not pass away". Matthew 24:35. Jesus tells of a parable of the rich fool who accumulated alot of wealth without trusting the lord how God took his soul from him and he died yet he thought wealth was all he needed. Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:32 that life is more important than food. I've never decampaigned working hard and being rich but God tells us in 1 Timothy 6:17 to charge those that are rich in this world not to trust in their riches but in the living God who richly gives us all things to enjoy. Today, I just feel the voice of God asking, "I gave my life for you, what have you done for me?"

PURPOSE FOR LIVING
Have you ever asked yourself why you were born? What was the ultimate aim of God creating man? Besides, God doesn't need anyone to help him. Man was created to worship God because God can not worship himself. In the world, people seek wealth, riches, fame and the glory of men. After God has blessed you with every thing you need, what will happen next? In the parable of the sower, Jesus tells us that the seeds that fell on the rocky ground are those that receive God's word but the cares and riches of this world derail them from serving the lord almighty. It literally means, People forsake God in the bad times when they think God doesn't care for them or in the good times where they think they have it all and they nolonger need God. But what does the word of God say? Deuteronomy 8:17. After you have eaten and gotten satisfied, you should not forget your God but you shall remember the lord your God for it is he that gives you power to create wealth. Deuteronomy 8:18.

THANK YOU LORD
Lord, today I just want to thank you for helping me pass through the rough and long journey that has brought me this far. All I have to say is Ebenezer , this far you've helped me. (1 Samuel 7:12). You promise and fulfil. Thank you for granting me wisdom that I would have acquired through lots of money. You raise the poor from dust and lift the needy from the dunghill and set them among princes. (Psalms 113:7 & 1Samuel 2:8). I now know that those who greatly delight in your word will have wealth and riches in their houses. Psalms 112:3. I've been quoting scriptures even when there seemed not to be any meaning for me. Lord, you are awesome, wonderful and amazing. You've helped me have a glimpse of what good plans you have for my future. I now know that those that dwell in your house go from strength to strength and from glory to glory. (Psalms 84:7 and 2 Corinthians 3:18).
Lord, you've really raised me from a place and position where the world thought I didn't have any value yet only you knew what my reputation was. You've humbled me and you've exalted me in your due time. I Peter 5:6. Let the world know that promotion comes from you. Psalms 75:6 and you change seasons and times, you set up kings and set others down Daniel 2:21.

BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD
Lord, I'm just in awe of how powerful and mighty you are. You've given me a priviledge to have your word proven true in my life. You tell me in Psalms 46:10 to be still and know that you are God, you will exalted in the earth and among the heathen. You've calmed every storm the devil had stirred in my life and just like you to told the Israelites to be still and see the salvation of the lord for the Egyptians they saw, they would never see them again. Exodus 14:13, Right now, I'm trying to trace my enemies but I can not see them. Some were demoted, others deported, and others have passed through doom and gloom. Your word says ; Little by little you will drive our enemies from before us that we may increase and inherit the land. Exodus 23:30. Lord, I will not be afraid, I will be established till I see my desire upon my enemies. Psalms 122:9.

PARABLE OF THE SOWER
The parable of the sower is the foundation of all parables. Jesus told his disciples if they never understood this parable they would not understand all other parables. Luke is precise yet meticulous in explaining this parable. Luke 8. The seed is the word of God. The seeds that fell by the way and eaten by the fowls of the air are the people that hear the word of God but the devil immediately steals it from their hearts. The word of God should never depart from our mouths. Joshua 1:8. The seeds that fell of the rocky ground are those that hear the word of God and receive it gladly but don't endure trials that come for the sake of the word. The seeds that fell on thorny ground are those that hear the word of God but the cares, riches and pleasures of this world choke the word of God. Those that fell on good ground are those that hear the word of God and bear fruit. It will not be smooth all through but those who wait upon the lord will renew their strength. Believe the word of God against all odds.

THE THINGS THAT WERE GAIN TO ME
There's alot the world has to offer but to love the world is being God's enemy. James 4:4. When satan was tempting Jesus, he took him on top of a mountain and showed him the kingdoms of the world and the glory of men in a moment and asked him to bow down and worship him. Satan stubbornly tells him, he gives such to whosoever he wishes. Psalms 24:1 says the earth and its fulness, the world and they that dwell in it belong to the lord. Ofcourse by that time satan had stolen Adam's dominion over the earth which Jesus had to restore on the cross. Paul says in Philipians 3:7, the things that were gain to me, I counted loss for Christ. Abandoning the pleasures of this world and crucifying our bodies everyday, offering our bodies as living sacrifices is our reasonable worship to God. Romans 12:1
