Synoptic comes from the word synonym which means similar. Synoptic gospels simply means the summary of the first 3 books of the gospels ie Matthew, Mark and Luke. John is not included in the synoptic gospels simply because he has a unique and different way of describing Jesus Christ. John is the only one that describes Jesus as the good shepherd, the true vine, the bread of life, the ressurection and the life, the way the truth and life. The synoptic gospels talk about the life of Jesus from birth up to his ressurection. For those of you that have a chance to read my blog, I will be studying and discovering more with you as we analyse the gospels.

The lord is my shepherd I shall not want,He makes me lie in green pastures,he leads me besides the still waters. Psalms 23
Having been a shepherd before becoming king, David knew what it meant for a sheep to have its shepherd. It will always be guided by its master on what to do and where to go. Perhaps David contemplated his relationship with God and related it to that of sheep having their own shepherd. I don't know the master of your life, but our works always reflect who the ruler of our lives is. Allow God to control whatever step you take and believe you me, nothing will ever derail you.

WHATSOEVER THINGS
Whenever you’re faced with a choice to make, ask yourself what the consequence of what you’ ve chosen to do will be. Does it have any virtue? This will be of great help to you in regard to avoiding mishaps . Paul in Philippians 4:8 tells us to meditate on the things that are true ,noble, pure, just, lovely and of a good report. Remember where your heart is your treasure will be . Mind what you read, speak and listen to.

SILVER PLATTER CHRISTIANITY
Why do you think Jesus had to use parables in his teachings? The kingdom of God is not a walk over. We have to seek till we find it. God repeatedly tells us if we seek him with all our hearts we shall find him. Deuteronomy 4:29, Jeremiah 29:13, Lamentations 3:25, Matthew 7:7. We always seek his face but we can never see his face, he will show us his goodness instead. Exodus 33:18. We have to carry our own cross each day of our lives and follow God. If you dwell in his presence, goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of your life. Psalms 23. Life in Christ is never a silver platter phenomenom.

"I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND LIFE" JOHN 14:6
On the 23rd of April 2013, I was travelling by public means and the holy spirit spoke to me in an awesome way. He asked me why the passengers always have to inform the conductor and not the driver when they want to get out of the taxi when they reach their destinations. I looked in the front seats of the taxi, and there were three people; the driver, and two other passengers and God told me. Those three represent one God in three persons. And he answered my question saying; the conductor represents Jesus Christ the son of God. No one goes to the father except through Jesus. John 14:6 . The conductor is always at the door of the taxi requesting people to enter so they can reach their destinations meaning; Jesus is the way through which everyone enters to reach God, and the destination is heaven. He says all that came before him were thieves and robbers but he is the way. I don't care who says there are very many ways of reaching God. He who has the son of God has life but he who does not have the son of God is already condemned and the wrath of God abides on him. John 3:36.
YOU ARE A FLAME OF FIRE
Who makes his angels spirits and his ministers a flame of fire. Hebrews 1:7. Flames of fire bring light and you are the light of the world. A city set on a hill can not be hidden. Matthew 5:14. Elijah was a prophet of fire. You too if you obey God's word, he will make you a flame of fire. The spirit of man is the candle of the lord searching all the inward parts of the belly. Proverbs 20:27. When you speak and pray using the written word of God, you are releasing fire to the kingdom of Satan. He says his word is like fire. Jeremiah 23:29. God says in Isaiah 62:1, that for Zion's sake he will not keep silent nor hold his peace until her righteousness brings forth like a brightness and her salvation like a lamp that burns. First and foremost. God wants you saved or born again. No one will inherit the kingdom of God unless he is born again. John 3:3. If you obey God, he will go before you as a consuming fire to destroy your enemies. Deutronomy 9:3. He will be a wall of fire around you and a glory in your midst. Zechariah 2:5. God promised us that when we pass through fire we won't be burnt. Isaiah 43. Fire can not burn you because you are fire itself.

LIVING WATER
There's a river whose streams make glad the city of God. Psalms 46:4
Sorrow may last for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Psalms 30:5. It doesn't matter what you are facing at the moment, at the name of Jesus, every knee will bow down and every tongue confess that he is Lord. Philippians 2:10. The word of God was written that our joy may be full. 1 John 1:4. Come to this waters, you will never thirst again. In his presence there's fullness of joy and at his right hand there are pleasures ever more. Psalms 16:11.
BE OF GOOD CHEER
He used it when he was walking on water and his disciples were astonished thinking he was a ghost. He also tells us to be of good cheer when we face tribulations in the world because he overcame the world. (John 16:33). Being of good cheer doesn’t mean only rejoicing at the pleasing moments but also means to have hope and to be fully convinced that God is able to get you through it all. It is good for a man to hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the lord. Lamentations 3:26.

It is not by chance or mistake that you’re reading this blog at this particular moment. It may be God’s last call for your salvation. God will wait that he may be gracious on you. (Isaiah 30:18). Today is the day of your salvation (Hebrews 3:7). For it is appointed for all men to die once and then judgment. (Hebrews 9:27). Make up your mind today. Celebrate the Internet evangelism day with me by sharing this with your friends or if you are a blogger, share it with your readers or you can post an evangelism message and share it with your friends still. Just like Noah had an opportunity, you and I have an opportunity to tell the whole world that God loves them.

EVEN THE BREAD CRUMBS
Who has despised the day of small things? says the lord God of hosts. Zechariah 4:10. It's amazing God doesn't judge us the way this world does. People will judge you according to your physical appearance, financial status and the like, but God looks at your heart. I just want to encourage someone who is despised, that God is the lifter of your head. Psalms 3:3. He's not a respector of persons. 2 Chronicles 19:7. Have you ever imagined why after Jesus feeding the multitudes had to tell his disciples to collect even the crumbs that were left? Crumbs are always left for the destitutes and animals to eat, but God wanted to show us that he treasures even the people that are disrespected by the world. In the gospel according to Mark, Jesus tells the Syrophoenician woman that bread was for the children of Israel, and she replies, even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from the master's table and immediately her daughter gets healed. Even that little faith like a mustard seed will help you get your miracle like that woman did. God is the chief economist. He never wastes anything and he never despises anyone because he created us in his image. I decree to everyone reading this blog that your future will be greater than the former. Haggai 2:9.

YOUR WILL, NOT MY WILL
"I have the keys of the kingdom, when I open the door, no one can shut it and when I shut it, no one can open". Revelations 3:7 |
This should be everyone's prayer in life. Most people want God to do what they feel is good for them not what the will of God is, for their lives. It may take different circumstances, commitments and your sacrifice for God to make you what he wants you to be. You can't be lifted unless God has first humbled you. Remember those that are last will be first. Mark 9:35. You will pass through the fire for God to refine you. Zechariah 13:9. Matthew 6:33 says; seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and the rest shall be added un to you. Most people seek the material stuff they can get and ignore the righteousness and the kingdom of God. Ofcourse, God desires that we prosper in all things and have good health even as our souls prosper. 3 John 1:2. God tells us to charge the rich people of this world not to trust in their riches but in the living God who richly gives us all things to enjoy. 1Timothy 6:17. Before you do anything, always ask the will of God to be done in your life. There's a hymn that says; " I gave my life for you, what thou have done for me?". Salvation is a free gift from God but you have to work out your salvation with fear and trembling. Psalms 2:11. If you seek God, he will give you the keys for everything you need.
WHAT DID YOU GO TO SEE IN THE DESERT?
Society has its view about God and how it expects him to do things its way. This was Jesus asking whom they expected to meet in the desert. Of course it was John the Baptist but it was more than him. It was the voice of God calling people to prepare the way for the coming of the lord and that the kingdom of God was near. Today , there’s a voice calling us to change our ways and prepare for the coming of the lord. Matthew 24:37 says ; as it was in the days of Noah, before the floods, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage until the day that Noah entered the ark God made an everlasting covenant with human kind never to destroy the earth by floods, but the fury of God will be exercised through the everlasting sorrow of fire that will never be quenched. Today, I just want to challenge us that heaven and hell are real. I don’t care what you have done or passed through, God’s voice is still calling, not only those that have not seen the light, but even those that are born again and yet our ways do not match with the word and will of God. He says only those who do what their father in heaven wants them to do will inherit his kingdom of God. Life will continue normally, and the devil will make it seem the word of God is not true. If Jesus returned one second from now would you be ready?

NOT OF THIS WORLD
"Be sober and vigilant, your adversary roams like a roaring lion". Ephesians 5:8 |
Today, I saw a security guard for a certain company and the holy spirit spoke to me in an amazing way. He reminded me of a scripture that says we are in the world but of the world. This guard belongs to a security company and is deployed to provide security for a particular company. Probably, he works in during the day and he knows what takes place in that company that he is securing , since he has to be responsible for any attacks, robbery that are bound to happen if he’s not careful. It literally means, this guard is an employee of the security company not the company he protects. Similarly, we are in this world with an assignment to do the will of God and to worship him and yet we have to give an account of what we did in this world. Remember we are guarding ourselves from the thief who is the devil. He came to steal, kill and destroy but Jesus came that we may have life and have it more abanduntly. John 10:10. Your weapon of welfare is the word of God. Just to remind of the full armor of God in Ephesians 6:10. The belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, readiness to preach the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit which is the word of God.

SPEAK LORD
"I am the good shepherd.....my sheep hear my voice." John 10:1 |
How many times have we asked God to speak to us and yet when he speaks we don’t listen? Psalms 62:11 says, Once God has spoken, twice have I had that all power belongs to him. Job 33:14 says , God speaks once and twice and man does not perceive. But in the dream and visions of the night when men are asleep and on the slumbering on the bed, he opens our hears and seals his instructions. God speaks through dreams, Joseph and Daniel are good examples here. God gave King Solomon wisdom through a dream and many other people in the bible. Even now God still speaks through dreams. God speaks through the bible. Before you hear that thundering noise that everyone expects to hear, how much have you read the bible and how will you be able to discern whether that voice is from God or not? 2 Corinthians 11:14 says, Satan masquerades himself as an angel of light. God speaks through his servants. 2 Chronicles 20:20 says obey God’s prophets and you will prosper. He speaks through visions, and through the holy spirit who convicts us of righteousness, sin and judgment. John 16:8. God also speaks through situations. We discover from the story of Jonah that God made a whale to swallow him so that he could understand he had disobeyed God. God can also speak audibly through a voice. Some people have had a chance to encounter that. Always ask God to open the eyes and ears of your heart that you may see and hear him.

THE KINGDOM OF GOD
When we talk about the kingdom of God, the first impression many of us get is a magnificent empire or a castle with a wonderful throne having a king. That is very absolute in regard to the earthly kingdoms. Of course we have the creator of heaven and the earth who is the lord almighty as the king of kings. How amazing the bible describes the kingdom of God as a personal life style of righteousness, peace and joy in the holy ghost! (Romans 14:17). The kingdom of God is evident on earth through the marvelous works of God in us.
